  • AHIMA remote work plan extended through April 21

On Friday, March 20, Gov. Pritzker issued a "stay-at-home" order for the state of Illinois to prevent the risk and spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), beginning at 5 pm CDT on Saturday, March 21 through April 7.

AHIMA initially planned to transition to remote operations from Tuesday, March 17 through Friday, March 27; however; we will continue to work remotely through April 21.

Please note, if state and federal guidelines indicate that it is safe to return to work at an earlier date, we will communicate that information to our staff and members.

We know this is a difficult and demanding time for everyone, and we want to assure you that AHIMA will continue to support our members and the healthcare industry. We are all in this together as we work to empower people to transform health.

We'll continue to send you communications with news and information. You can stay informed with our latest COVID-19 updates and follow our social media to keep in touch.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
