When releasing Medical Records and they are printed two sided, do you charge per page or per sheet of paper?

Thanks for any input on this.

Thanks for the response Karla. I was thinking per page until it added up to a large amount, then I started questioning .

    Crystal,

If you're releasing to a patient, then you would only be able to charge for the supplies used, so you'd only be able to charge for the cost of the sheet used, not for the page.

    Individual's Right to Access

For anyone else, it would be a charge per page.

Medical records are usually printed one sided and charged per page at a medical facility. I have worked at several Occupational health facilities and the employees are not charged for the first three copies of their entire medical records. Charging a fee mostly covers the cost of paper, printer ink, binding supplies and sometimes shipping fees.
