When telehealth visits occur; where in the electronic medical records are the results of these visits typically placed?

Good morning. AHIMA added a special update for COVID 19 News and Resources, which includes telehealth. I will attach the link for you here for ease of review.

As it noted in the AHIMA special update and I'd like to point out... "Educate staff that virtual care/telehealth visits are not only a conversation-they are documented episodes of care that require the same clinical documentation processes as seeing a patient in a traditional care setting."

Good luck, let us know if any more specific questions!

Thank you Lori for providing the link.

Our telehealth documentation is stored in the same area as our regular provider documentation. The only difference in a telehealth account vs an in-person account is the registration type is listed as telehealth and our providers are required to add to their note that the visit was conducted via telehealth and if the visit was phone only or through our secured video conference portal.
