Hello! Once again, I need some advice.
Our facility uses a hybrid med record, and we get lab results faxed to us from the outside lab. Sometimes the intended recipients don't get the faxed results, so the outside lab has created an exchange of sorts, where they store all results. Our staff can then go print results as necessary. However, when they do this, they are now watermarked (this was not something that we had seen previously) stating THIS IS NOT A CHARITABLE NOTE. The problem is, the doctors are signing the lab results, and sending them to med records to be scanned into the system.Since this started happening a few weeks ago, my position has been that we need the original, non watermarked lab result from the outside lab. The clinical staff disagree and continue to push back. Can anyone weigh in with their opinion?
Thanks in advance.
