Timely Documentation

I work at a CAH hospital and am struggling with the majority of the physicians documenting timely.  We are suspending but it is not correcting the problem.  Does anyone have any out of the box ideas on how to entice the physicians to complete their documentation timely?

Thank you in advance for any tips, tricks, or anything that has worked for you.

    Hi,

Right now we are at a standstill with COVID but normally we have fines associated with Suspension, as well as a CMO that holds them accountable.

    Thanks,

    Karla

    Hello,

I send a weekly report to my CEO each week of deficiencies and for those who are habitually late, I include the associated dollar amounts of outstanding items so he understands the need for documentation completion. We currently don't fine due to a new system but we are working on revamping the fining policy. For those who do not get their notes completed habitually and have an extreme amount of accounts outstanding, the CEO has closed their practice until the notes are caught up. This doesn't happen often but it has happened.

    Thanks,
