I found this on the AHIMA website:

1Discontinuation of AHIMA-Approved ICD-10 Trainer Workshops and End of Learning Assessment

As of December 2016, AHIMA no longer offers the required workshops and end of learning assessment to become an AHIMA-Approved ICD-10 Trainer. Only Individuals who have kept their ICD-10 Trainer status current through each annual ICD-10 Trainer renewal term are eligible to participate in the AHIMA-Approved ICD-10 Trainer Renewal Program and maintain their ICD-10 Trainer designation. AHIMA now offers new Train the Trainer workshops similar to the AHIMA-Approved ICD-10 Trainer focused in CDI, Data Analytics, and Revenue Cycle.2

    2AHIMA-Approved Train the Trainer Program

We are pleased to announce the launch of the AHIMA-Approved Train the Trainer Program. Click here for more information on the following workshops: Clinical Documentation (CDI) Trainer; Healthcare Data Analytics Trainer; Revenue Cycle Trainer. These workshops provide essential training necessary to fulfill current workforce needs and help HIM and healthcare professionals transition to emerging career fields.

Hello!  First, I think it is great that you want to become a trainer. If you are truly interested, I would recommend reaching out to AHIMA directly.
Second, I am pretty sure the above is correct, there is no new training available.

Third, I think it would be good for AHIMA to hear that folks are still interested - - And I believe it is a valuable designation that allow us to help folks with the complexities of ICD-10!

    Good luck!

    Good afternoon,
Currently AHIMA is not offering the approved ICD-10 training.  However, we are currently evaluating our educational programs so your input and interest is very timely.
    Thank you for reaching out!

I think they are doing only renewals for those certified before ICD-10 implementation. I suggest you call or email customer service to be certain or to get details.
