    Does anyone have a productivity guide for coders that also scan and enter charges for each ED account?

    The current expectation at my facility for ER coders that enter charges for both facility and professional sides is 6 accounts per hour as the threshold expectation; 8/hour for the target; and 10/hour is the stretch goal.

    Michelle, is your standard of 6 per hour for entering the technical and professional E&M as well as other ED charges such as infusions, injections, procedures​ for each case?

    ​We did a time study to obtain our production numbers.
    ED admits 8 per hour
    ED discharges 10 per hour
    Our coders code professional and facility charges as well as capture any missed charges from ancillary staff such as injections/infusion, nebs, casting/strapping
