    Good AM Everyone!

Is any hospital texting patients about negative results?
If so, would you be willing to share how this is being accomplished (i.e platform) and the content of the message?

Thanks so much!  Have a terrific day!

    Calla...what a timely question!

To give this some context, are we treating as a given to your question that the patients receiving the results have consented to the receipt of the info (which I'm guessing would represent PHI in your scenario) by text according to the applicable regulations and the P&Ps of the hospital?  I wanted to assume yes...but feel better asking to make sure.

    Thanks!

Hello I am a student a few months for taking my CCA.  I just have some possibly related info to offer.  As a healthcare employee we were offered an antibody test ( not covid test but hopefully similar way of handling)  we filled out a form on how we wish to receive our results options were phone call email or text.  I choose text, this lead to a consent to receive by text.  When text came it contained a link then this link confirmed DOB then pulled up result " your antibody test for ....... was positive or negative " This was done through the state of North Dakota.  HMMM wondering if the Phone# and DOB made 2 identifiers.

I can't claim I like it for some reason, but it does technically have 2, rather 3, identifiers (as the link is probably almost certainly/hopefully individualized).
But we can't be free, till we learn to laugh at ourselves. Once you look in the mirror and see just how foolish we can be. Laughter is inevitable. And from laughter comes wisdom. -G'Kar

Well, I do try to have some hope it isn't just a generic link that they can put in relatively simple info in to get results back. ;P
