    Hello, I am a student getting my Associates degree in Health Information Management. For an assignment I need to interview a HIM Professional, I was wondering if there was anyone here that could help me I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
    Here are the questions if interested!

    Interview Questions:
    Name /Years of Experience/ Job Title?
    What credential/license is required for the job?
    Was education required?
    What is the credential of the HIM department/service director?
    How many employees are there in the entire HIM department/service?
    How many supervisors and what areas do they manage?
    What types of software do you use on the job?
    What electronic record system does the facility use?
    Would you recommend the job to a HIM graduating student? Why or why not?
    What do you like the most about your job? What do you like least about your job?
    How is an existing patient located in the system? How is a new patient registered in the system?
    Is this handled by the HIM staff or another part of the organization?
    Who handles updating patient demographic data in the system?
    Do they handle patient record deficiencies in the EHR or manually?
    How do they scan paper documents into the EHR?
    When did the facility go-live with the electronic record?
    Describe the process that a staff physician uses to authenticate EHR documentation?
    Does this facility accept health information from patients that is on a CD (or other media)?
    Does the facility provide a personal Health Record to their patients?
    Describe the process for getting EHR to court in response to a subpoena duces tecum.
