    Does anyone know of any webinars being conducted (either through AHIMA or other groups/organizations) on the details around the 21st Cures Act?  I am hear more and more about this act, but details and impacts are hard to collect.  Thanks  for any information you might have.

    We're working through our compliance plan and I would love to get my hands on some information. I searched the AHIMA Library and there are some good information and articles there, I also checked out YouTube and found some webinars and overviews of the CURES Act and requirements.

    We're now at the stage that we're socializing documentation best practices for our physician community. An overview of the intersection between the CURES Act and documentation requirements that support Open Notes is the work we have ahead of us now. Our approach is to gather policiesTip Sheet/SOPs for the current state and begin to integrate that into easy to follow information and scenarios for the future state when sharing is defaulted on. We also need to integrate into this messaging the scenarios that our physician community should be aware of when it comes to chart correction or amendment requests.

    This is an opportunity for HIM to shine and we're donning our integrity hats and rolling up our compliance sleeves!

    Let me know how it goes for those of you out there on a similar path.

    Hi Matt,

    It is hard top get all the details on the CURES Act. Attached is a copy of the Act when it went through legislation. I don't know what state you are in but maybe this TX site might give you some direction.

    Thanks! These are great resources, I haven't seen the Sequoia and CHIME presentations.

    I also wanted to add that I realized the AHIMA Advocacy bundle ($100) includes a great presentation from the ONC and downloaded slides. I went ahead and purchased the bundle as an instant replay for ongoing education for our teams.
