1.  HEDIS Audit

I am in a CCRC with a hybrid record. I do not receive many of these requests as our skilled nursing is only 111 beds. Is anyone charging for records released for these types of audits, if so how much do you charge per request?

I would recommend asking on the Confidentiality, Privacy and Security Engage Community to see if release of information and HIPAA privacy experts could answer your question, since you are not getting responses from the IG team here. I believe more ROI professionals for your question can be found there.

Thank you! Lori

I work at a health department and we receive HEDIS requests on an annual basis.  I do not charge for the records, because I do believe it falls under the contract signed between my organization and the insurance company.  So I would suggest you find out if it's in your contract that any reviews for records be complied with.  Another thing I do is I have the requesting company come on site and review the records.  I print the information we have electronically and pull the paper record if needed.

Thank you for the feed back. I did decide not to charge.
