Who owns the Downtime Procedure at your hospital?  HIM, Informatics, Medical Staff?

Do you have a separate policy for each department or one for the facility as a whole?

Are you willing to share your hospitals policy?

I have seen an administrative policy for the entire facility with subcategories/ownership by each subsequent department. The overarching policy usually has either IT or Legal/Compliance owning. It may depend on if this is facility down or IT systems down. Facilities (plant management) main own back up disasters for fire/water/facilities outages while IT and Rev Cycle own medical and billing system outages together.
