Hi, our MRC does not do reviews. I have a documentation specialist that handles all audits. We have a system based practice dashboard that gets reported out and the delinquency rate. We focus on issues with patient safety and the EHR.
Good morning, all. While the "traditional" Medical Records Committee functions are still required by the state and others, have you considered morphing the committee into more of an Information Governance Committee? You could start with the clinical/HIM record and ultimately bring other stakeholders to the table to more broadly address information across the organization? You would, of course, need senior leadership buy in and would want to tie the scope of the committee to your organization's strategic goals. If I were in an healthcare organization, that's the direction I'd want to go in.
